If you need to walk through anything else, just let me know via PM or qrz.com address. Anyway, separating the audio and digital grounds solved the issue and I've been running FB with it since. CAUTION: Changes or modications to this device, not expressly approved by Icom Inc., could void your authority to operate this device under FCC. Other manufacturer’s microphones have different pin assignments, and connection to the IC-756PROIII may damage the transceiver. Like I mentioned, this was a couple of years or so ago and I don't exactly recall what happened when I built it per spec, but the config didn't work probably some sort of RFI issue. Use Icom microphones only (supplied or optional). The one thing that I had to do to my cable to make it work correctly was to NOT connect the audio ground to the digital ground in the cable (Nav connector end).

I don't recall making any changes to the default settings with the ProII menu items. I think for digital the Navigator is more sensitive than the SignaLink USB box the Navigator replaced. GM Don, I run a ProII with a Navigator and have been for about 2 years or so the Navigator is a great box, not just for digital, but also has true RTTY (vs AFSK) as well as a built-in K1EL keyer.
